The Oaks Country House is open.
The Oaks building was built in 1862 for Cammell Laird, the famous ship building company based in Birkenhead, as a Lakeland Country House.
The main entrance opens into a hallway that is lined by decorative oak panels, which is a fitting start to the rest of this beautifully appointed holiday property. There is a level lawn with a flat-topped stone wall elevated above the grounds that fall away to the south, providing relaxing views of the fields and the hills in the distance.
The Oaks has been refurbished to a very high standard. The Oaks also boast 12 bedrooms, with a palatial open-plan kitchen, extensive dining room, a sauna, two lounges, two TV rooms, two hot tubs and acres of beautiful wooded grounds that you can explore and relax in.
Watch this space for photos of the recently refurbished House, it really is going to be an exemplary offer, offering an events and/or holiday let venue in a truly unique setting to only 1 mile from the hustle and bustle of Bowness-on-Windermere.
